Please visit the Royal Thai Embassy to check if you need to apply for a visa prior to entry, and check the U.S. State Department for more information on visa requirements and current travel advisories. If you require supporting documentation, please email info@globalvetexperience.com at least 2 weeks before submitting your visa application.

[/vc_column_text][/mkdf_accordion_tab][mkdf_accordion_tab title=”Flights”][vc_column_text]Booking your own flights gives you the flexibility to choose your preferred airport, departure time, and travel arrangements. You may book your flights through any travel website or travel agency. Once you have booked your flights, please upload your flight itinerary below so that we can arrange your airport transfers.

Destination Airport: Phuket International Airport

Airport Code: HKT

Flight Itinerary:

Airport transfers are NOT included in the program fee- most local hotels and some rentals offer free airport transfers, so we encourage you to request this from your accommodation. Alternatively, taxis are readily available at the airport upon arrival. For local transportation, Grab Taxi App is a simple and easy way to get around town (similar to Uber And Lyft).[/vc_column_text][/mkdf_accordion_tab][mkdf_accordion_tab title=”What to Expect on Arrival”][vc_column_text]

Please use WhatsApp to message the Program Coordinator in Thailand at +66 76 264 504 (or +66 89 588 4050) at least 48 hours before departure to confirm your arrival details. Please contact the Program Coordinator ASAP if your flight has been delayed, or if there are any other last-minute changes to your itinerary.

Upon arrival at the Phuket International Airport, you should collect your baggage, go through Customs and head to the “Arrivals” area- a staff member wearing a “PAWS Phuket” t-shirt and holding a sign with the names of all incoming travelers will be waiting for you. If you’re having trouble finding them, please contact the Program Coordinator via WhatsApp.

Immigration & Border Control may ask where you’ll be based during your session- the address is 13/7 Moo3 Kwaang Road, Phuket, Thailand. Don’t forget your return or onward ticket and evidence of sufficient funds. Make sure your passport is stamped on arrival and keep the departure form if you’re given one (if you lose your departure form, you’ll need to contact immigration officials before you leave the country to make alternative arrangements).[/vc_column_text][/mkdf_accordion_tab][mkdf_accordion_tab title=”Suggested Packing List”][vc_column_text]Coming soon…[/vc_column_text][/mkdf_accordion_tab][mkdf_accordion_tab title=”Currency Exchange”][vc_column_text]We recommend exchanging at least $50 USD to Thai Baht in your home country or in the airport. Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted in the area, and ATMs are regularly accessible. Call your bank to find out about international ATM withdrawal, debit card, and credit card fees- most banks have a withdrawal fee plus a conversion fee for ATM withdrawals but only a conversion fee for debit or credit card purchases. Some “travel rewards” credit cards offer no international fees. If you decide to use a credit card for most purchases, you should also have access to an ATM card (this is cheaper and easier than exchanging money and safer than traveling with a lot of cash). If you plan to use a debit or credit card, tell your bank when and where you’ll be travelling so they won’t flag your card for unusual activity.[/vc_column_text][/mkdf_accordion_tab][mkdf_accordion_tab title=”Emergency Contact, Medical & Dietary”][vc_column_text]
